  • A full-time student or full-time academic employee at an eligible overseas partner institution throughout the application and study period
  • General scholars must normally be no older than 45; senior scholars no older than 50
  • Obtain the host university pre-admission notice or invitation before the final scholarship submission

  • Proof of current enrollment or employment, highest diploma and academic transcript
  • A Chinese- or English-language study/research plan and host pre-admission notice or invitation
  • For stays longer than six months, the physical examination and no-criminal-record documents required by the guide
